Shawuki G. Hilton

Shawuki attended SUNY Binghamton where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Leadership & Consulting. Shawuki then went on to pursue his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (“Cooley”). During his time at Cooley, Shawuki served as the Justice of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, Vice President of Entertainment of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and an Associate Editor of the Western Michigan University Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. Shawuki graduated Cooley with cum laude honors earning a spot on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List.

Professionally, Shawuki’s varied interests afforded him the opportunity to counsel and serve a diverse client base on matters related to business formation and transactions, contract law, debt defense, estate planning, intellectual property, and real estate. Shawuki has maintained his passion for sports law by representing professional athletes within the Canadian Football League (“CFL”), where has negotiated close to three million dollars in player contracts. 

Shawuki is currently a member of the Florida Bar (2016) and District of Columbia Bar (2018), a CFL Certified Contract Advisor. and was named to the 2023 National Black Lawyers Top 40 under 40 List.
