Congratulations To Our 2019 Scholarship Winner!

The Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler Debt Fighters is pleased to announce the winner of the Financial Planning Scholarship to Elizabeth DeFazio!

Ms. DeFazio recently transferred from Raritan Valley Community College to Rutgers University. Attending community college was one of the many financial decisions she made to save money and find her passion as a student. She is currently studying Chemical Engineering because she’s interested in the vast applications and career options available with this degree. After obtaining her bachelor’s, Elizabeth’s aim is to enter into a Chemical Engineering Master’s program.

Outside of the classroom, Elizabeth is extremely involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She enjoys engaging in her local and school community to inspire women to pursue engineering. This scholarship enables more flexibility to devote time to organizations like SWE and her chemical engineering curriculum.

Michael Ziegler Managing Partner

Michael A. Ziegler is the Founding Partner at Ziegler Diamond Law, where he represents consumers throughout Florida in complex financial and consumer protection matters. He is a licensed Florida attorney with a focused practice in consumer protection law, debt defense, bankruptcy, and credit reporting disputes. With more than a decade of legal experience, Michael has helped hundreds of individuals defend against debt collection lawsuits, pursue relief through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and enforce their rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other consumer protection laws. Michael is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is an active member of the Clearwater Bar Association, where he serves as Chair of the Bankruptcy Section. When not advocating for clients, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and investing in real estate.
