I’ve been protecting Florida consumers from creditors, debt collectors, and lenders for over a decade. My firm focuses entirely on consumer protection — bankruptcy, debt-collection lawsuit defense, FCRA credit-report errors, FDCPA harassment cases, and foreclosure defense. That’s all we do, every day.

My Background
I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia (Kennett Square — the mushroom capital of the world!). I spent my freshman and sophomore years on the school wrestling team. Frankly, I was not a particularly successful wrestler, but it was a youthful experience that I really appreciate looking back: it helped teach me dedication and perseverance, even when things are difficult.
I went on to Penn State University and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree. From undergraduate, I went directly to law school at Florida Coastal School of Law, and graduated with my law degree in 2008. While I was in law school, I had a variety of great experiences, including volunteering for legal aid offices and interning for the public defender’s office.
My Legal Career
Since graduating law school, I have focused my legal career on helping consumers struggling with debt. More recently, I’ve expanded my practice to help personal injury victims get the compensation they deserve.
I first served as an advocate at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid in the “Predatory Lending Unit,” helping financially sensitive clients to navigate their legal issues. I went on to private practice in 2010 as an associate attorney at the Law Office of Robert Eckard & Associates, P.A., where I assisted consumers in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and other civil litigation issues. I opened my own office in 2012 with the goal of empowering consumers with debt problems.
Community Involvement
I serve as Chair of the Solo Practitioners Committee for the Clearwater Bar Association (after a short break), and I’m a past board member of the Clearwater Bar Association. I’ve led several continuing education seminars for attorneys on the topics of bankruptcy, collection harassment claims, and credit reporting errors.
Family
I’m married to the lovely Nicole Ziegler, an incredible attorney (if I didn’t say that then I couldn’t go home) who also practices law in St. Petersburg, Florida. We share a home in Pinellas County, Florida with our two trouble-making daughters, two cats, and a dog.
