The Clearwater Fire and Rescue investigator was trying to find out what went wrong with Gary Steven Cook’s car Wednesday afternoon on Myrtle Avenue near downtown Clearwater.
Cook was involved in a crash. He had hit two other vehicles before trying to peel out, digging a nearly four-inch gash into the asphalt.
