Attorney Kaelyn Diamond focuses her practice on representing everyday people when their consumer rights have been violated by creditors. Many people believe that when they owe a
debt, they have no rights. That couldn’t be farther from the truth! People facing oppressive debt can be the most vulnerable to creditor abuses, so both Federal and Florida State laws provide
consumers with legal protections against overzealous creditors. These legal protections include protection against harassing collection activity such as unauthorized or excessive calls,
contacting third parties without permission, making aggressive or threatening statements, misrepresenting information about a debt, unlawful credit reporting, and other unlawful activities.

I am no stranger to the consequences of unmanaged debt and negative credit reporting. In 2013, I was an excited law student starting my first week of classes. I had applied for student loans and was expecting a quick acceptance. Instead, I got a quick DENIAL. The denial was based on negative credit reporting that I didn’t even know existed. I checked my credit report for the first time (maybe ever), disputed the negative credit reporting, and worked out an agreement with the creditor in exchange for their deletion of the negative information. Finally, I got an acceptance for student loans and was able to attend law school to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming an attorney.

That stressful experience planted the seed for my career passion–fighting for consumer rights and helping consumers overcome oppressive debt. I wanted to help others avoid the stress of
not knowing what’s on their credit report and that negative information preventing them from achieving their dreams.

In 2014, I started as a law clerk with the Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler, P.L.  after various legal internships throughout my undergraduate and law school career. I was excited to have
found a law firm that cared as much about helping everyday people as I did. In 2016, I accepted a position as an Associate Attorney, and was promoted to Partner in 2019. In 2021, I became a
Shareholder and The Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler, P.L. transitioned to Ziegler Diamond Law. Different name, same commitment to our mission: Empower Consumers to Liberate
Themselves from Oppressive Debt.

I am honored to be involved in various consumer law organizations. In 2019, I was appointed to the Florida Bar Consumer Protection Law Committee. I was Chair of the Social Media and
Outreach Subcommittee in 2020 and Vice Chair of the Committee for the 2021 term. I was appointed Chair of the Committee for the 2022 term. I am a proud member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and Public Justice. I
have also been a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association since 2016.

I am humbled to have been nominated by my peers and then selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2018-2022. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in the State of Florida are named to
the Rising Star list. I have also been awarded the Avvo Client’s Choice award in 2019 and 2021.  I have presented on the CARES Act with Bay Area Legal Services in October of 2020,  the Florida Mini-TCPA Law with MyLawCLE and the Federal Bar Association in October of 2021, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act at the National Consumer Law Center’s FDCPA Conference in May of 2022.

I’m admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the Central District of Illinois, and the United
States Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit.

I am a self-proclaimed Florida native, having lived in Florida most of my life. I was raised in the small beach town of Vero Beach, graduated cum laude from the University of Florida (Go
Gators!), and obtained my Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.

While not practicing law, I love spending time with my husband (who is also an amazing attorney), our two Australian Shepherds, our friends, and our families. My favorite weekend
activities include trying out new restaurants around Tampa Bay, going on long walks, and traveling.
