I represent Florida consumers when creditors, debt collectors, and credit reporting agencies cross the line. My practice focuses on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act. Many people believe that when they owe a debt, they have no rights. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Federal and Florida law give consumers real protections — and I help enforce them.

How I Help Florida Consumers Fight Back
- Creditor and debt collector harassment — unauthorized or excessive calls, threats, third-party contact, abusive language
- Credit reporting errors and disputes — inaccurate reporting, identity theft, mixed files, failure to investigate disputes
- FDCPA violations — false representations, misrepresenting debts, illegal collection tactics
- TCPA / robocall claims — illegal autodialed calls and texts from creditors and collectors
- Debt collection lawsuit defense — being sued by a creditor or debt buyer in Florida court
- Bankruptcy when it’s the right tool — Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 in Florida
Why I Do This Work
I’m no stranger to the consequences of unmanaged debt and negative credit reporting. In 2013, I was an excited law student starting my first week of classes. I had applied for student loans and was expecting a quick acceptance. Instead, I got a quick DENIAL. The denial was based on negative credit reporting that I didn’t even know existed.
I checked my credit report for the first time, disputed the negative reporting, and worked out an agreement with the creditor in exchange for their deletion of the inaccurate information. Finally, I got an acceptance for student loans and was able to attend law school to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming an attorney.
That stressful experience planted the seed for my career passion — fighting for consumer rights and helping consumers overcome oppressive debt. I wanted to help others avoid the stress of not knowing what’s on their credit report and that negative information preventing them from achieving their dreams.
